I’ll construct roads to boost tourism – Bosomtwe NPP PC

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for Bosomtwe constituency Dr. Yaw Osei Adu Twum has pledged to improve the deplorable state of road network in the area to boost tourism if voted for.

According to him, an improved road network will make Lake Bosomtwe accessible to tourists considering how it has been neglected.

Speaking on Ultimate Breakfast Show during ‘Kumasi speaks’ project at Jachie-Pramso with host Lantam Papanko, he said the money that will be generated from Lake Bosomtwe will be used for other developmental projects.

He promised to change the fortunes of Bosomtwe by providing jobs for youth in the area.

‘Due to lack of roads, most tourists are unable to patronize the place, we will construct road network to enable tourists visit Lake Bosomtwe,’ he said.

The Parliamentary hopeful further assured of beefing up security in collaboration with the police service to curb nefarious activities by armed robbers and pickpockets in the area.

‘It’s a very disturbing situation that public safety in the constituency is not a priority of government. Most of the villages do not have police stations, the police service is ready to provide the men but there are no police stations to house them. We will establish police stations in surrounding areas to help policemen patrol villages,’ he pledged.

He said the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) has failed Ghanaians and do not deceive another term, urging his constituents to vote for him and the party’s Flagbeaer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to win power.
