Akufo-Addo begins Ashanti tour Wednesday

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will embark on a four-day tour of the Ashanti Region next week Wednesday, October 19, 2016.

This is the second time he will be touring the region ahead of the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections. He has already toured all the 10 regions.

The three-time flag bearer of the NPP, on Monday, October 9, was cleared by the Electoral Commission to contest in the 2016 presidential election.

A statement released by his press secretary, Eugene Arhin, on Friday, October 14 announcing a private visit to the UK and Germany, said Mr Akufo-Addo “returns to Ghana on Tuesday October 18, ahead of the commencement of a four-day tour of the Ashanti Region beginning Wednesday, October 19, 2016”.
