KMA election: Manhyia proposes ‘compromise’ candidate

The Kumasi Traditional Council has proposed the Amakomhene, Nana Adu Mensah Asare, as the new candidate for the vacant position of Presiding Member for the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.

According to the Traditional Council, the retired teacher became the compromised choice following the sixth failed attempts to get a Presiding Member for the KMA.

The assembly members are expected to meet Thursday October 13, for the Seventh time to either endorse or reject the new nomination.

According Starr News’ Isaac Bediako Justice, the two contenders who have failed to secure enough votes for the position, Abraham Boadi and Michael Adu Sei have both agreed to step aside after a meeting with the traditional council.
