NDC’s ‘special team’ took charge of Mahama’s forms – Anyidoho

The Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho has revealed that the party had a special dedicated team which toured the various regions to pick signatures of their subscribers.

He noted that “since the EC boss, Charlotte Osei is a lawyer it was obvious that strict guidelines would be used with respect to qualification and disqualification of presidential candidates.”

He added that the team had to spend three days in some of the regions to get the signatures of subscribers. He hinted that the party crosschecked the voter Identification numbers of their subscribers before submitting it finally.

The deputy general secretary of the NDC made this revelation in an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive, Wednesday.

Koku Anyidoho said the party sympathizes with candidates who were disqualified.

“We empathize with the political parties whose candidates have been disqualified; we know it is not easy, however the law is the law,” he concluded.

Pushed to mention the names of two political parties whose candidates he would have pardoned if he had the opportunity, he declined and said “no comment”.
