Don’t call me a ‘disqualified aspirant’ – Ayariga

The disqualified presidential nominee of the All People’s Congress (APC), Dr. Hassan Ayariga, has reacted angrily to him being described as a “disqualified” aspirant.

The Electoral Commission announced the disqualification of 12 presidential aspirants hoping to participate in the forthcoming elections including Ayariga on Monday.

According to the EC, it was unable to accept Ayariga’s nomination because he did not “provide evidence on his statutory declaration as to his hometown or residence in the constituency as per legal requirements.”

Following his disqualification, he went berserk, denigrating the person of Mrs. Osei by calling her “stupid” and “foolish”, adding she lacked the necessary qualification to be the chairperson of the commission let alone disqualify him.

Speaking on Starr Chat being hosted by Bola Ray on Wednesday, he said even though it is public knowledge that he has been disqualified by the EC, he hates being described as “a disqualified aspirant” by the media.

This, according to him, is scornful to his person and that “I don’t like that” he told Bola Ray.
