I’m not a braggart – Akufo-Addo

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says he is determined to fulfil all his campaign pledges if elected as president after the December polls.

Addressing his teaming supporters at the party’s manifesto launch in Accra on Sunday, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer said his administration would not take the masses for granted if offered the opportunity to lead the nation, and thereby, urged voters to vote massively for the NPP.

“I’ m not a braggart and I wouldn’t lie for anything. Ghanaians should try me this time around because I am ready to work to achieve all the promises I have made to our people.

“Ghanaians deserve more than what the Mahama-administration is offering, that is why we need to vote for change,” Akufo-Addo told thousands of party loyalists present at the event in Twi.

Nana Akufo-Addo whose address was intermittently interrupted by the crowd said his government would work to ensure the prevailing harsh economic conditions become a thing of the past, as he intends to appoint competent people to help him steer the affairs of the nation.

“Unemployment rate in this country has suddenly skyrocketed since the NDC took over governance and the only way to arrest this decline is to vote them out.”

“God has given us another opportunity to right the wrong this time around and we shouldn’t let ourselves down for the third time,” the NPP presidential candidate warned.

The NPP becomes the fourth party to unveil its manifesto after the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), the ruling National Democratic Congress and All People’s Congress.
