Ga Mantse Ayitey Canada has died

One of the claimants to the Ga Traditional paramount seat, Mantse Nii Tackie Obli II, otherwise known in private life as ‘Ayitey Canada’ has died after a short illness in Accra.

The death of the Chief was reported in Accra Friday October 7, after he suffered a cardiac arrest undergoing treatment for his illness.

Family sources told Myradio360online.com that the late claimant to the Ga stool will be buried in accordance with Moslem tradition today per family arrangements.

Myradio360 online.com has learnt he died between the hours of 4:00 PM on Friday after suffering a cardiac arrest.

The nomination of to Nii Tackie Obli II in 2015 brought to three the number of persons that made claims to the position of the Ga Mantse in recent times including Nii Tackie Oblie II (Nii Ayitey Canada) and Nii Tackie Adama Latse II (George Tackie).

The late chief is expected to be buried today and there will a family gathering at the Abola Piam We in James Town of the Greater Accra Region.
