Angry youth raze down houses of alleged witches

Angry youth in Nyashegu in the Tamale metropolis of the Northern region are on rampage burning houses belonging to alleged witches in the area.

According to Starr FM’s Northern regional correspondent Eliasu Tanko, the irate youth chased out occupants of the buildings before setting them on fire.

No injuries have been recorded yet but the Police who moved to the area to restore calm were also chased out by the youth who were reportedly armed with different types of dangerous weapons.

According to Tanko, the Police who returned with reinforcement have clashed with the youth in the community.

Reports indicate that so far six houses have been torched in the Nyashegu metropolis.
