Ace Ankomah pays tribute to ‘brave woman’ Eva Lokko

Eva Naa Merley Lokko, former Director-General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, engineer and vice presidential candidate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), is dead.

Reports say the veteran journalist has been sick for some time now and died in hospital in Accra on Thursday afternoon.

Legal practitioner, Ace Ankomah, took to Facebook late Thursday night to pen one of the most touching tributes to his former client as Ghanaians mourn her death.

Mr Ankomah said Ms Lokko sacrificed her comfort and freedom to stand up for principles, values and integrity.

He said, “Eva was a brave woman, who took on the system and whipped it well and proper. That is a life worth celebrating, and this life is poorer without her”.
