Guinean Envoy presents special message to President Kufuor

Accra, Dec. 3, GNA – President John Agyekum Kufuor on Wednesday pledged Ghana’s support to the socio-economic development of the Republic of Guinea. He said although both were developing countries struggling for development efforts should be made to assist each other.

President Kufuor made the pledge at the Castle, Osu, when he received a special message from President Lansana Conte of Guinea delivered by Mr Moussa Solano, Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralisation.

He said Ghana and Guinea had established relations that nearly resulted in both becoming one country, “anytime Guinea needs my services and assistance I am prepared to assist”.

Mr Solano commended President Kufuor for his efforts to restore peace and stability within the West Africa Sub-Region, especially Cote D’Ivoire and Liberia. GNA
