Ghana has become an icon in the international community – Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama, last night, arrived in Ghana from a very successful trip to New York, USA and Paris- France, for a UN General Assembly.

He was met at VIP lounge of the Kotoka International Airport by several dignitaries where he briefed the media.

President Mahama said that he’s very happy to be back home after completing his international assignment at the UN and also lecturing at the IPDC conference in UNESCO.

Speaking about his trip, President Mahama, said that Ghana has become an icon in the international community and he is very happy to have represented Ghana well through the debates and speeches that took place at the UN General Assembly. Specifically on the SDG.

“I was honored the privilege to coach a meeting of an advocacy group with the Norwegian Prime Minister, Ms. Erna Solberg and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moo was also in attendance” he said.

According to President Mahama, his recent trip has given him the opportunity to map up a strategy on how Ghana is going to Conduct work in creating awareness about SDG.
