Fmr. President Kufuor to launch trade name for Ghana Bamboo Bikes Initiative

Former President of Ghana, H.E. President John Agyekum Kufuor will on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 launch the official Trade Name for one of Ghana’s most promising startups, Ghana Bamboo Bikes Initiative.

The launch is in line with the organisation’s vision to become an entity which operates locally but with a global perspective in conducting business. This will in turn, bring in foreign exchange, provide jobs for the youth in rural communities and subsequently help reduce incidences of rural-urban migration.

The launch will be attended by high profile dignitaries including business executives, embassy representatives, environmental and biodiversity organisations and executives of Ghana Bamboo Bike’s US partner, Africa Bicycle Contribution Foundation (A.B.C.F).

Ghana Bamboo Bikes Initiative is a social enterprise, fully dedicated to climate change, local economic development, improved transportation and environmental sustainability through the manufacture of multi-purpose bamboo bicycles and bamboo cultivation.

The launch of Ghana Bamboo Bike’s Trade Name is scheduled to take place at the Achimota Golf Course Academy, Accra at 12:00 pm prompt.
