Ablakwa Rewards Rural Teachers with Laptops in North Tongu

The Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister for Foreign Affairs Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has once again distributed laptops to teachers posted to rural communities within his constituency.

A total of 36 newly posted teachers are benefiting from this latest round of support aimed at encouraging and retaining educators in underserved areas.

According to the MP, the gesture is part of a broader effort to make teachers feel welcomed and appreciated for accepting postings in rural communities. He emphasized that the initiative is also meant to enhance teaching and learning outcomes in the district.

Mr. Ablakwa hinted at plans to scale up other teacher-focused interventions, including continuous capacity building, scholarships, and award schemes. These, he said, are critical to ensuring teacher motivation, retention, and ultimately, improved educational quality in North Tongu.

This initiative falls in line with the MP’s broader #NorthTonguRising campaign, which seeks to drive development across various sectors of the constituency
