Our next term is for job creation – Amissah-Arthur

The Vice President Kwasi Amissah Arthur has assured unemployed youth in the country that there would be more job opportunities in the second term of President John Mahama.

Addressing supporters of the NDC at Akyem Swedru in the Eastern region on Friday during the campaign launch of the Parliamentary candidate for the party, Robert Ansah, the Vice President stated that, the second term of President Mahama’s government would be job creation for the youth.

He said government will support private enterprises and small scale enterprises to create more jobs in the country.

The Vice President also added that the NDC will revamp the railway sector in the next four years to revive economic activities across the country.

The Vice President also stated that, MASLOC will be expanded to provide soft loans for Small scale Enterprises.

According to him, a 100 million Ghana cedis fund will be created for Youth enterprise project to support the youth in job creation.

He also promised that government will add Science laboratories to the massive infrastructural projects executed at the Achiase SHS.

Meanwhile, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, a National Vice Chairman of the NDC has stated that the NPP is a disorganized party hence does not deserve to be voted into power.

He told the supporters that, the Nana Addo led NPP party has taken the Eastern region for granted despite the fact that majority of cabinet ministers were appointed from Eastern region, little was done to improve the living standards of the people in the eight years of the Kufuor administration.

He called on the people to vote for the NDC in 2016 elections.
