Couple donates to fire victims

Akwatia, Nov 27, GNA- Mr and Mrs. Frimpong of Akwatia in the Eastern Region have donated five bags of rice and 1 million cedis to people who lost their property in a fire outbreak at Akwatia on November 11.

Mr Frimpong said he and his wife were moved by the plight of the victims and promised more assistance to the victims.

Receiving the donation on behalf of her colleagues, Miss Comfort Ama Nipaah expressed appreciation for the concern shown by the couple.

Miss Nipaah said some people stole some electric gadgets, beds and cooking utensils that were retrieved from the outbreak.

She expressed appreciation to the District Chief Executive, Mr Yaw Yiadom Boakye, for providing them with blankets, rice and mattresses.
