GCB gives bus to Military Academy

GCB Bank Limited has donated a 15–Seater Nissan bus to the Ghana Military Academy as part of the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility.

The donation took place on the sidelines of the 2016 Ghana Military Academy graduation ceremony held on the 16th of September in Accra.

Mr George Fuachie, Head of Corporate Banking Department of the Bank, presented the ignition keys of the bus to Brigadier-General Michael Akpatsu, the Commander of the Ghana Military Academy, on behalf of the Management.

The presentation ceremony was witnessed by President John Dramani Mahama, the Minister of Defence, Dr Benjamin Kumbuor; the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Michael Samson-Oje, and other service commanders; Nana Anthony Nkrumah Brobbey, Chief Business Development Officer, and other officials of the Bank.

Mr Fuachie explained that the Bank and the Ghana Armed Forces had had a healthy relationship over the years hence the decision to support in the training of officers.

Brigadier-General Akpatsu thanked the Board and Management of the Bank for such a generous gesture and gave the assurance that the cordial relationship between the Bank and the military would be sustained.
