Chief of Staff promises Acheampong’s ‘operation feed yourself’

Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, has reiterated government’s commitment to improving agriculture if President Mahama and the NDC are given a second term.

According to him, the ‘operation feed yourself’ policy of General I.K Acheampong in the 70’s was laudable and the NDC is bent on reintroducing it to ensure an all- year round food security in the country.

Mr Debrah made the comments when he paid a courtesy call on the Wa Paramount chief on Tuesday, Among the Delegation were the Upper West Regional Minister, Hon. Amin Amidu Sulemani and his Deputy, Dr. Musheibu Mohammed-Alfa.

He also said that the Wa stadium will be upgraded to boost sporting activities in the region if NDC is retained.

He therefore implored on the people of the Upper West to vote massively for President Mahama and the NDC Parliamentary Candidates of the various constituencies in the upcoming December 7 general elections.
