NDC’s manifesto is driven by compassion – Kpessah-Whyte

The just-launched manifesto of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections is driven by compassionate values and the desire to improve the welfare of all Ghanaians, Dr Michael Kpessah-Whyte, Acting Director of the Ghana National Service Scheme, has said.

The NDC, on Saturday September 17, launched its manifesto at a ceremony at the Sunyani Coronation Park, as part of its preparations toward the elections.

Preceding the launch, President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday September 13 presented highlights of the content at an event at the State House in Accra. The highlights listed a litany of promises and achievements of the NDC government in the past four years. Among the tall list of promises are the creation of additional five regions to the 10 existing ones and also the establishment of two psychiatric hospitals.

After the launch, Dr Kpessah-Whyte, a failed NDC MP-aspirant for Shai Osudoku, said: “NDC manifesto 2016 is shaped by compassionate values and our unyielding desire to improve the welfare of all Ghanaians.”
