Volta residents back Togbe Afede over ‘NDC World Bank’ outburst

Some residents of Ho in the Volta region have lauded the Paramount chief of the area over his claim that the NDC has taken the region for granted.

Togbe Afede XIV claims the government has taken the region for granted because of the massive political support it has enjoyed in the region over the years.

During a recent courtesy call on him by members of the NDC’s regional Election taskforce, Togbe Afede said the NDC and its officials in public offices disrespect the chiefs and people of the area but call on them during elections.

Some of the residents of the area who spoke to Starr News said Togbui’s comment is in the right direction.

“We agree with the chief, for the past years people in the Volta Region have continuously voted for the NDC government and at the end, they forget about us,they wait till elections and come again because they have over the years seen Volta as their world bank but we have been taken for granted for so long and it is high time we vote based on issues”.
