On this 10th day of Zul-hijjah on the Islamic calendar, which is marked as Eid-ul-Adha, I wish to extend my profound salutations to all our cherished Muslim brothers and sisters in the New Patriotic Party and across Ghana. This occasion once again prompts us of the obedience and humility demonstrated by Prophet Abraham, when he willingly obeyed Allah by accepting to sacrifice his only son to Allah. The lessons of this significant ritual as recognized by other religious sect around the globe should never be lost on us, as a political party, striving in service for the achievement of excellence for our dear nation.

As we all join the global Muslim community to celebrate this special Eid, remember to show gratitude to the Almighty Allah for assisting our country to enjoy unity and peace. Let the Eid strengthen our resolve to stay alert to the tenets of tolerance, togetherness, truth, sacrifice and selfless dedication which are in consonance with our spiritual aspirations.
As we prepare ourselves for yet another general election in our nation, I encourage all of us, to continue to pray for peace before, during and after the 2016 elections

Once again, on this solemn and distinct occasion, I extend my best compliments to all our Muslim family.

Eid ul Mubarrak to you all

Signed
………..
Paul Awentami Afoko
