Man stabbed to death over Manchester derby

A young man believed to be in his twenties has been stabbed to death by his friend called Saadiq.

The incident occurred about 2pm on Saturday at Gooro near the Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI) in the Kumasi Metropolis.

Brother of the deceased, Abdullai Tahir told journalists that “I had a call that my younger brother Mustapha has been stabbed to death by one Saadiq of Aboabo. I together with my comrades rushed to the scene in order to forcibly take the assailant to the police but our effort was futile”.

The cause of Mustapha’s death is immediately not known. However, some residents say his death may have been triggered by an argument that ensued between and Saadiq over the Machester derby between Man Utd and Man City after the premiership game.

The deceased has been deposited at the Manhyia hospital pending autopsy.

The police, Kasapafmonline.com understands, are investigating the incident.
