2 NPP supporters electrocuted, 2 others severely injured

Two supporters of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Sunyani East constituency of the Brong Ahafo region, have been confirmed dead and two others in critical condition after they were electrocuted some hours ago.

Constituency Communications Officer Maxwell Mahama, who confirmed the incident to ultimatefmonline.com a while ago, said they were erecting a billboard for the party’s flagbearer and parliamentary candidate when they were struck by electricity.

According to him, the incident happened at Abesim close to Sunyani.

The injured persons are currently receiving treatment at the Sunyani Government Hospital while bodies of the deceased persons have been deposited at the hospital’s morgue pending autopsy.
