Queen mother and youth chase NDC MP candidate with machetes

The parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Nhyiaeso constituency, Samuel Sarpong and a team of party supporters were chased out by the Queen mother and youth of Dabon, when they had planned to clean up the area on Sunday.

The clean-up he explained, forms part of activities the aspirant and the group does on regular basis.

However, the Queen mother, Nana Yaa Asantewaa prevented the parliamentary candidate and his team from engaging in the activity. The traditional leader said she would not allow any activity by the NDC in her jurisdiction, Kwabena Amoateng added.

According to him, the team were chased by the youth following the Queen mother with machetes until they took cover at the residence of the Assembly Member for Sokoban.

They were later joined by the Queen mother of Sokoban to embark on their clean-up campaign.
