Sekyere West assembly presents machines to RYDO

Mampong (Ash), Nov. 18, GNA – The Sekyere West District Assembly has presented 20 sewing machines to the Rural Youth Development Organisation (RYDO), a non governmental organisation based at Asante-Mampong.

Mr Thomas Edward Atakorah, the District Chief Executive, who made the presentation at Mampong at the weekend, said moneys from assembly’s share of the Common Fund were to used to purchase the equipment to support the apprenticeship-training programme being undertaken by the RYDO.

He expressed hope that the items would help the apprentices to complete their training and start work on their own.

Mr Joseph Nana Dwomoh, Project Co-ordinator of RYDO, who received the machines on behalf of the apprentices, expressed appreciation to the assembly for the gesture.
