The Mmrante hene of Awutu Bontrase in the Central Region, Nana Larbi, has warned the ladies in the town who plan to wear short skirts during the upcoming festival in the area, to desist from acting on their thoughts lest they face the wrath of the traditional authorities.

According to him, the chiefs will not allow the youth of the area to copy certain cultures which are totally alien to the way of life of the people of the town.

“We would not spare any lady who wears short skirt during the durbar of our festival to advertise themselves for the sake of prostitution. That person will be subjected to severe flogging,” Nana Larbi warned.

He made the intention of the traditional authorities known during a clean up exercise as part of the Bontrase annual festival celebration which comes of Tuesday, September 6 2016.

Nana Larbi charged the youth to be decent in their dressing because their outfit speaks alot from the home they come from and also tells about the sort of upbringing they had.
