Nurses association hauled to CHRAJ for defamation

The Leadership of Nursing Trust Fund has dragged the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association to CHRAJ for allegedly defaming the organization

It is angry with the GRNMA for allegedly issuing a misleading letter asking nurses not to deal with Nurses Trust.

Managing Director for the group, Malcolm Asamoah, told STARR NEWS the GRNA must apologize to his outfit and retract the said letter.

“Somewhere on June 24,2016, the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association issued a caution letter to all nurses and midwives cautioning them against us …telling them to desist from joining our organization on grounds that we are not credible.

“We find it very misleading because we are a very credible institution. We are therefore referring the issue to CHRAJ to establish that what they have issued is defamatory…. We have suffered a lot and some of the members who are part of us have started to withdraw which is not fair,” he said.
