Obinim followers dispersed with water cannon

Followers of Bishop Daniel Obinim were on Wednesday dispersed with water cannons and pepper spray when they besieged the police headquarters in Accra to protest the controversial preacher’s arrest.

The General Overseer of the International God’s Way Church was arrested on Tuesday for flogging two young adult memebrs of his church, but was later handed over to the CID Heaquarters for investigation for allegedly defrauding someone to the tune of GHC11.6m.

Bishop Obinim is expected to be arraigned before court today.
