Kojo Bonsu was strong on the task but weak on management – Alexander Ackon

The Ashanti Regional Minister Mr. John Alexander Ackon has observed that the resigned Mayor Kumasi Mayor Kojo Bonsu, was resolute on the task assigned him but weak on management skills.

He believes this is partly to blame for his woes at the assembly indicating that his absence has further brought about challenges in running the affairs of the assembly which has been without a Presiding Member (PM) for close to a year now.

“Kojo Bonsu was very strong on the task but weak on management…..the KMA has a lot of challenges and that is affecting its revenue generation. “He disclosed on the Ultimate Breakfast Show hosted by Lantam Papanko.

The minister who also acts as KMA Mayor, disclosed that revenue generation at the assembly has been gravely affected primarily because a PM had not be chosen in view of the factions that exist within the assembly, and therefore wish both groups could agree on a compromised candidate to keep the assembly running.

“We need to have the various sub-committees running to increase our internally generated funds which currently stands at 37% and also work on the Urban Development Programme to qualify for District Development Funds (DDF)”, he said.
