A journalist assigned to the Tema Regional Police Command to cover Bishop Daniel Obinim as he turned himself to the men and women in black uniform has been attacked by one of the associates.
It is however, not clear what provoked Obinim’s associate to attack the journo. The journo Kasapafmonline.com understands, was trying to take photos of the Man of God when he was attacked.
The preacher has finally turned himself to the Police after he was given one week ultimatum to do so.
He reported himself to the Tema Regional Police but has been transferred to the Police Headquarters in Accra.
He was accompanied by his lawyers and some leaders of his church.
Obinim has gone to the Police to answer to charges brought against him by Oye Lithur’s Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection as well as three other persons including Human Rights Lawyer, Francis Xavier Sosu.
Bishop Obinim has become a subject of public discussion after flogging two teenagers in his church last Wednesday for fornication. The duo, he claimed, were his adopted children and therefore has every right to discipline them when they go wrong.
