Ghanaians fed up with Mahama – Awuku

The ongoing demonstration in the Northern regional capital, Tamale, by the Coalition of Opposition Political Parties in Ghana is an indication that Ghanaians are tired of the economic hardships bestowed on them by the National Democratic Congress (NGDC) government led by President John Dramani Mahama, Mr Sammi Awuku, National Youth Organiser of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said.

The Coalition of Opposition Political Parties, made up of the NPP, the People’s National Convention (PNC), the Convention People’s Party (CPP), and the National Democratic Party (NDP), on Monday, 22 August embarked on a demonstration against high utility terrifies in the country.

Speaking to Accra News while the demonstration was ongoing, Mr Awuku said the turnout had been impressive.

He said the crowd that took part in the march was evident of the untold economic hardships visited on citizens by Mr Mahama.

“This is a massive crowd showing that the people are fed up with the government. They are tired of the economic hardship in Ghana,” he said.
