NPP thanks Western Region for successful Akufo-Addo tour

The leadership of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Western Region has thanked the chiefs and people of the region for a successful tour by their flag bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The opposition leader, as part of his campaign activities ahead of this year’s presidential elections, was in the region to interact with the people and assure them of good policies and plans for the development of the region and the country as a whole.

While in the region, Nana Akufo-Addo promised to fix the deplorable nature of the roads in the event of his victory at the 2016 polls.

A statement issued by Okatakyie Amankwaa Afrifa, Western Regional NPP Communications Director, on Friday August 19 said: “The leadership of the NPP in the Western Region is also expressing our heartfelt appreciation to the chiefs and people of the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai, Sefwi Wiawso, Bia East, Bia West, Bodi, Sefwi Akontombra, Suaman, Wassa Amenfi West, Central and East, Prestea Huni Valley, Tarkwa Nsuaem and Sekondi constituencies for their love and support shown to the NPP during the five days’ tour of the region by our flag bearer Nana Akufo Addo.

“We were overwhelmed by the support shown to the NPP and hope the numbers will translate into votes for the NPP come December 7. This, we believe, will help change the fortunes of the Western Region and the country.

“The time has come for change of government and a change for our betterment and development. This we believe will get Ghana working again. We also appreciate the great acceptance of our ‘One District, One Factory’ policy and believe with the region’s resources, you will all help us achieve this to create jobs and wealth for all and will vote the NPP and Nana Akufo-Addo to power.”

It added: “To the Western Region 2016 campaign team members, our MPs and PCs, and all constituency and polling station executives who contributed directly and indirectly, we say thank you. We hope you will be vigilant and give your best on December 7 to help us recapture power from this incompetent NDC.”
