Quarry Company helps communities in its operational area

Barekese (Ash), Nov 11, GNA – Consar Stone Quarry Limited has assisted a number of communities in its operational area with some developmental projects.

Mr Tasadaq H. Shah, the Managing Director of the company, told the Ghana News Agency that the company has provided Maaban with low-tension electricity poles for their electrification project.

The company also gave the community 20 bags of cement towards the construction of their primary school while Barekese received 40 cubic metres of concrete chippings and cash of 1.8 million cedis and roofing sheets for the construction of a senior secondary school.

The Barekese community, Mr Shah said, again received both concrete and dust chipping worth three million cedis for the rehabilitation of their primary school block.

The Dabaa, Asuofua and Barekuma communities in the Atwima district and the Westphalian Village at Oyoko in the Sekyere East district also received assistance in cash and in kind from the company.

Mr Shah advised all beneficiary communities to cultivate the spirit of communalism to support the company’s efforts so as to improve upon their living conditions.

It was only through this, he said that they could attract investors and other entrepreneurs to provide them with more social amenities.
