Woman beheaded at Adansi-Fomena

A ‘mentally deranged’ woman in her mid 30s has been beheaded at Adansi near Fomena in the Adansi North District of the Ashanti Region.

The deceased only identified as Akos according to residents, had earlier been accused of stealing only to find her decapitated body on Tuesday morning.

Nana Yaw Korankye I, the Odikro of Adansi Agogroso revealed that residents of the area, are yet to come to terms as why her assailants will commit such a dastardly act, indicating that the police in the area have been duly informed.

Agya Mensah, the husband of the deceased, said he left his ailing wife in the house to visit his brother but on his return never met her at home only to be greeted with the news of her death a day after.

He disclosed they have been married for four years now.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Fomena Hospital pending autopsy to determine the actual cause of death.
