NDC engaging in propaganda transformation agenda – Bawumia

Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has laughed off claims by the governing National Democratic Congress it is transforming lives in the country.

He believes the said transformation agenda is a mere rhetoric meant to throw dust in the eyes of the electorate as the real situation on ground does not in any way support such stance.

Addressing supporters of the NPP in Nhyeaso at the party’s constituency campaign launch on Sunday, Dr. Bawumia said, the eight years of ruling party has rather witnessed a retrogression in the economy and brought about hardship.

“During the Eight Years of President Kufuor, the economy was put on a sound footing but after the leaving power in 2008, the NDC has taken over and mismanaged everything. They have borrowed more than any government and we are still suffering. Where is transformation agenda they are chanting about”, he quizzed.

According to Dr. Bawumia, the NDC lacks the actual understanding of changing lives, transforming Ghana chosen by the party as its campaign theme.

He therefore challenged the NDC government to make public the number of lives it has transformed in its nearly 8 years in power, or forever remain quiet and allow the electorate to suffer with the hope the NPP will better their lives from 2017.
