WARNING: Pharmdem products and Maxi Light cosmetics not registered

Accra Nov. 10, GNA- The Food and Drugs Board (FDB) on Monday said the Pharmadem range of products and Maxi Light cosmetics being advertised in the media have not been registered with the Board. A release issued and signed in Accra said the board cannot therefore, guarantee the safety and efficacy of these products.

It said the law establishing FDB, PNDCL 305B, states that all cosmetic products imported or manufactured, must be registered with the Board before they can go on sale to the public or advertised in the various media.

It said necessary steps were being taken to impose the maximum possible sanctions on the importers of all unregistered products.
