The Presidential candidate for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Monday August 8, 2016 paid courtesy calls on the Regent of Dagbon, the Kampakuya Na, Andani Yakubu Abdulai, who is also head of the Andani Royal Family and the Bolinlana, Mahama Abdulai, the head of the Abudu Royal Family.
Nana Addo’s visit was part of efforts to reconcile and unify the two Dagbon royal families who have for long been fighting each other over the Dagbon skin following the murder of the late Yaa-Naa Yakubu Andani II.
Mr. Akufo-Addo promised to help settle the long standing feud and has called on the people of Dagbon to have confidence in him.
