YEA to Recruit 12,000 Youths as Community Police Assistant

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ghana Police Service to recruit 12,000 young people as Community Police Assistants across the country.

The agreement, signed at the Ministry of the Interior, is part of efforts to address youth unemployment and strengthen community policing. The Minister for the Interior and the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment were present to witness the signing.

The initiative is expected to create thousands of job opportunities for Ghanaian youth while promoting safety and security in local communities.

According to the YEA, the move demonstrates its continued commitment to providing sustainable employment pathways and empowering young people to actively participate in national development.

Community Police Assistants will be deployed nationwide to support the Ghana Police Service in community engagement and crime prevention efforts.
