IEA encounter with Akufo-Addo postponed again

The IEA evening encounter with the NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo which was scheduled for August 9 has been called off, a statement by the policy think tank has said.

It is unclear why the engagement with Akufo-Addo has been put on hold indefinitely.

This is the second time the IEA has called off the evening session with the former attorney general after an initial date in July also failed to pull through.

President John Mahama and the NDC have declined to participate in the encounters which appear to becoming a feature in Ghana’s elections beginning in 2000.

Meanwhile, the flagbearer of the CPP Ivor Greenstreet and that of the PNC Edward Mahama have already appeared on the IEA platform.

The evening encounters are meant for flagbearers to explain their plans and programs to Ghanaians and to answer questions for a selected group of individuals.
