Ghanaians warned of dangers in travelling to Russia

Accra, Nov.4, GNA- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday said there had been an upsurge of Ghanaians travelling to the Russian Federation and other Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to use those countries as a launching pad to Western Europe.

A statement issued and signed by Mrs Joana Fosu, Acting Director of the Information, Cultural and Legal Bureau of the Ministry said such journeys put the lives of the Ghanaians into difficulty, especially when they were stripped of their monies.

The Ministry therefore, advised prospective Ghanaian travellers of the dangers entailed in such journeys and the lack of logistics in Ghana’s Mission to accommodate them.
