The Tema Regional Police Command has said it is investigations into the murder of three persons and alleged suicide involving a police Lance Corporal with the Rapid Development Force (RDF) in Tema yesterday.
Greater Accra Regional Police spokesperson ASP Juliana Obeng confirmed the incident to Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM.
She could however give no further details of the dastardly act by one of their own, identified as Lance Corporal Wilfred Amuzu, but said the deceased was one of the hardworking guys in the RDF unit in Tema.
ASP Juliana Obeng said the Police are investigating a possible case of suicide and murder, calling on the public to help the Police on the necessary information in connection with the unfortunate incident.
The deceased Police Officer gruesomely murdered his mother-in-law and two children. He shot himself subsequently.
An eye witness told Kasapafmonline.com Monday evening that G/L/CPL. AMUZU of the regional RDF in Tema last night booked an AK47 assault rifle and headed straight home to commit the gruesome act.
It is not clear yet what informed the act.
Amuzu’s wife and one other child survived the gruesome act.
