Fulani herdsmen are not threat to security – Association of Fulanis

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Association of Fulanis Issah Adams has assured that Fulanis living in Ghana are not threat to Ghana’s security.

Fulani herdsmen are perceived to be perpetrators of crimes in all forms in villages and towns in the country.

Most of them have been accused of killing, raping and maiming their victims who are mostly farmers.

But speaking during their first ever Annual General Meeting of Fulanis at Techiman in Brong Ahafo, Adams said Fulanis are not bad people as perceived by the public.

He encouraged Ghanaians to live in peace and harmony with the Fulani community.

The meeting attracted Fulani extractions from around the world.

The PRO of the association explained that the meeting was aimed at building a bond between Fulani extraction and its Ghanaian counterparts.

He disclosed that the association plans to build a school to teach Fulani extraction Arabic language.
