Borteyman housing project 95% complete – Gov’t

The public housing project at Borteyman in Accra is 95 percent done, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a deputy minister of communications, has revealed.

Construction was resumed on the affordable housing project at Borteyman in the Greater Accra Region in 2014. The project started in 2006 but was stalled in 2008 due to lack of funding.

The Borteyman component is made up of 744 single-room and 792 two-bedroom apartments. Road and drain construction, water and electricity supply, as well as a central sewage system and a market, will be provided as part of the project.

Mr Kwakye Ofosu in a tweet on Friday evening said: “Public housing project at Borteyman in Accra, 95% complete.”
