Offinso jail break: Police re-arrest one of 6 cell breakers

Police in Offinso have re-arrested one of six suspects, who escaped from cell custody on the morning of Tuesday July 19.

The prisoners reportedly escaped through a hole they created in the cell’s wall using a metal.

The Offisno police command issued a 10-day ultimatum to the two police officers under whose watch the suspects escaped.

Class News’ Ashanti Regional correspondent Hafiz Tijani reported Wednesday July 20 that the re-arrested suspect was assisting the police to locate the hideouts of the other five escapees.

Meanwhile, the police have accused the two officers under whose watch the suspects broke cell, of professional negligence.
