SDA church robbed in Kyekyewere

Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) faithful at Kyekyewere in the Afigya Kwabre North district of the Ashanti Region discovered to their shock on Saturday that their church had been broken into by thieves, who had made away with property valued at more than GHS3, 000.

An elder of the church, Agya Marfo, who broke the news to Accra News on Sunday July 17, said church members had gathered for prayers between 5:00 and 5:30am ahead of their usual Saturday service when they realised the locks to the chapel had been tampered with.

According to him, they discovered that the church’s generator, microphone, amplifier, cables, among others had been stolen.

Elder Marfo disclosed the matter had been reported to police in the town while the church had appealed through radio stations in the area for help to arrest the burglars.
