Kuntanase (Ash), Oct. 29, GNA – District assemblies have been asked to support advocacy groups financially to enable them perform to expectation.
Mr Emmanuel Manu, Assistant project Officer of the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), said the effects of pre-marital sex, teenage pregnancies and HIV/AIDS on the society, could be minimized if the Assemblies assisted such advocacy groups to transform the lives of the youth.
Addressing the Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma advocacy group at Kuntanase at a sensitization seminar at the weekend, Mr Manu said if the groups had the right budgetary support there would not be the need for the establishment of the numerous Community-Based Organizations (CBOs). The seminar was organized by the PPAG and sponsored by the African Youth Alliance (AYA).
Mr Manu asked members of the advocacy groups to show good examples for the others to emulate since the people would be considered role models.
