Don’t give in to ‘messageless’ opponents of NPP – Nana Addo

Ahead of this year’s presidential and parliamentary elections, the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has urged all voters, especially sympathisers of the NPP, not to pay attention to “message-less” opponents of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo party.

Just a few weeks ago, Nana Addo and his main contender in the 2016 elections, President John Dramani Mahama, have been at war over which candidate has a message for Ghanaian voters. The two candidates are currently touring the nation concurrently, all in preparation for the elections.

Mr Akufo-Addo, who is in the Brong Ahafo Region campaigning, wrote on Facebook on Sunday July 10: “Saturday, July 9, saw me touring the Dormaa West, Dormaa Central, and Dormaa East constituencies. I visited towns like Nkrankwanta, Diaba, Yaakrom, Dormaa Ahenkro, Wamanafo and Wamfie to interact with the chiefs and people.”

He continued: “With a few months to the holding of the elections, I urged the people of Dormaa not to give in to the politics of division, which will be waged by the ‘message-less’ opponents of the NPP.

I also assured them that an Akufo-Addo government, God-willing from January 2017, is coming to do a job for all Ghanaians across the country, without discrimination to any tribe.”
