I did not represent Kojo Bonsu – Minister

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Alexander Ackon, has debunked allegation against him that he represented the Kumasi Mayor, Kojo Bonsu when was he summoned by the Ashanti King and his elders on Monday.

Explaining on Atinka AM Drive Tuesday why Kojo Bonsu was absent from the crucial meeting, Alexander Ackon disclosed that he met the traditional authorities upon an invitation by the chiefs as the Regional Minister .

He further explained that Mr. Bonsu absented himself solely on health grounds and that one Mr. Atta Oje, the Coordinating Director of KMA stood in for the Mayor.
On the call by Manhyia for the dismissal of the Mayor, the minister refused to give further comments and pleaded with all to allow the authorities to deal with the issue .

He concluded that authorities in the region will urgently find ways to resolve any issue between the Mayor and the traditional rulers of Ashanti Kingdom.
