BNI detains panelists who threatened Judges

Reliable information reaching Ghanapoliticsonline.com is that, the BNI has officially invited panelists who threatened the lives of judges for investigations.

The Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) has detained Alistair Nelson and Godwin Ako Gunn, who were, giving their submissions on Accra based radio station, Montie FM, on June 29, 2016, allegedly threatened to unleash mayhem on Supreme Court and High Court judges in the country – claiming that they know their residence.

Our sources within the BNI reveals that, the two were detained on Sunday morning following the call by the Ghana Bar Association GBA on the Inspector General IGP of Police to as a matter of urgency, arrest the two radio panelists who threatened the lives of judges in the country.

However, Alistair Nelson, who was reported as a PPP member, apologized for his unguided comments.

Ako Gunn on the other hand, has strongly denied the GBA’s accusation.

He stressed in a statement issued Saturday that he was not on the programme when the alleged threats were made and has never made any threats of that kind
