Excellency in Teaching Award for Joe Kingsley Eyiah in Toronto

The veteran Ghanaian-born educationist who is also one of the prolific columnists on Ghanaweb, Joe Kingsley Eyiah was last month honoured by the Elementary Teachers of Toronto (ETT) with an Excellence in Teaching Equity Award 2016.

Mr Eyiah is currently the Grade 8 Lead Teacher at Brookview Middle School in the challenging Jane/Finch neighbourhood of Toronto in Canada where he has been teaching since the year, 2000. He migrated to Canada through Great Britain in the mid-1990s after serving as the Vice Principal of the SDA Teacher Training College at Asokore-Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The Toronto Ghanaian Community is proud of one of their own who is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Ghanaian-Canadian Association of Ontario (GCAO) in charge of their community Homework Club in Toronto.

Mr Eyiah is also an Assistant/Contributing Editor of the versatile Ghanaian News paper in Toronto.
