Mahama hits Ashanti region with ‘Accounting to the People’ tour

Over the next three days, the President will inspect and commission projects including two community based senior high schools.

President Mahama is also expected to pay a courtesy call on traditional rulers including the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Mahama began his tour of the country a few months ago. The tour comes ahead of the 2016 elections campaign which is expected to start effectively in July.

President Mahama is of the belief that his government has done a lot in the past three years as evident in the execution of projects spanning roads, electricity, water and education among others.

ACP Ampofo Duku said adequate security arrangements are in place ahead of the President’s visit.

This will be the seventh in the series of his regional tours after similar visits to the Central, Eastern, Western, Volta, Brong Ahafo and Greater Accra regions.
